Hello my name is Malik Bridges,I am a 37 years old personal trainer. Originally from Philadelphia, PA, raised in Houston,TX and have lived in Austin for the past 4 years. I have 10 years experience in the health and wellness industry starting back in 2011. I studied at Sam Houston State University where I received my BS in Kinesiology and ACE Personal training certification. I am very passionate about all things fitness and nutrition and continue to learn more about these topics daily. When training my clients we focus on resistance based strength training movements. Using functional techniques that apply the appropriate amount of stress to stimulate muscle growth, strength and fat loss. Some of my hobbies include going to comedy shows,watching live music and traveling with friends. Honorable mention goes out to cooking, eating and sleeping. I have participated in Bodybuilding, obstacle courses and triathlons all in the same year. A solid foundation to a healthier life also include mindful awareness, stress management and sleep health as well. Everyone's road to success is different but trying to get one step closer is the mission while not allowing excuses to get in the way of the goal.
